Strictly Stand Up – The English Comedy Night

hosted by Christian Schulte-Loh

Exclusively for Strictly Stand Up we’re having first-class club comics from all over the world fly to Berlin.

Spend a relaxed and completely funny evening at Germany’s most famous standup comedy club on February 11 or 12 – at Strictly Stand Up – The English Comedy Night.

Look forward to these fabulous comedians:

Joe Eagan (CAN)
Joe is a Canadian stand-up comic who has lived near Copenhagen since 2000 and has performed in over 25 countries worldwide. Look forward to his unique brand of “sit-down comedy”, in which he talks about what it’s like to live in Europe as a Canadian and much more.
If the EU ever feels like it needs a standup to fill the void left by Brexit, then Eagan’s your man. – Copenhagen Post

Scott Capurro (USA)
You might recognize him as “Aunt Jack” from Mrs. Doubtfire or from his numerous TV experiences. Scott splits his time between his native San Francisco and the UK and is returning to our stage for the first time since November 2015, although he’d really rather have a show on Amazon, because his husband wants to live in Brazil.
He’s an undoubted masterclass in audience interaction. FIVE STARS – Edinburgh Fringe Magazine

Carey Marx (UK)
Our headliner for the evening, Carey is another Quatsch veteran, having graced our stage in September 2015. A circuit veteran, Marx concocts his own blend of dark humour with mischief and glee. His wilful disregard for the controversial and taboo is tempered with his ability to find joy in the most unexpected places.
“Obscenely funny, hilarious and curiously intelligent” Informed Edinburgh

Spotlight Berlin: Erika Ratcliffe (A/JP) Originally from Austria, Erika has called Berlin home for more than three years now. She’s a rising star on the German comedy scene, with regular appearances on German television, Comedy Central and here at the Quatsch German shows. She’s performing in English as our Spotlight Berlin.
“…verdammt fresh und freestyle.” – SWR
